Penny Norton MA FCIPR Dip CIPR Found. Chart. PR is a public relations and consultation specialist with wide-ranging experience within property, construction and regeneration.
Penny has worked with many leading developers, property companies, consultancies, commercial developers and both private and social housing clients. Clients have included Blenheim Estate, Boyer Planning, Bovis Homes, British Land, Broadgate Estates, Carter Jonas, Capital Shopping Centres, CBRE, Chestertons, Crest Nicholson, Essential Living, Leaders Romans Group, Linden Homes, Mace, Network Housing Group, More London, O&H Properties and Sainsbury’s. She has also worked with architects, interior designers, property lawyers and local authorities.
Penny has developed a unique online pre-planning consultation / community relations service, ConsultOnline and run many successful online consultations for clients including Mace Group, O&H Land, Bioregional Homes, Next plc, Essential Living and Lochailort Investments.
She is the author of three books: Public Consultation and Community Involvement in Planning: a twenty-first century guide (Routledge 2017), Promoting Property: insight, experience and best practice (Routledge 2020), and Communicating Construction: insight, experience and best practice (Routledge 2021) and contributed a chapter on planning for an academic text book, Regulation of Extractive Industries (Routledge 2021). She has also written the first in a series of e-books People in Planning, commissioned by Bang the Table; contributed to a TCPA guide, People, Planning and Power and written e-learning courses on development planning and NSIP planning applications for The Consultation Institute, of which she is a senior associate.
Prior to setting up PNPR, Penny worked for a variety of London-based PR consultancies, rising from Account Executive at PPS to Senior Account Director at TTA (a subsidiary of Chime plc).
Penny has a masters qualification in administration and a postgraduate diploma in PR. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and founded the CIPR’s Construction and Property Special Interest Group.
